17 Dec Mourning the loss of a community champion – Mr. Aurelio Sanchez.
March 17th, 2025 – We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Mr. Aurelio Sanchez – affectionately known by many as “Aw”. His friendship, kindness, and unwavering dedication to our organization and the community were truly invaluable. His presence brought light and warmth to those around him, and his contributions will never be forgotten.
By trade Aw had over 25 years of experience in architectural design, development, and production of construction drawings. He possessed excellent technical knowledge of construction in steel, concrete, and timber- all of which were evident in the work that he engaged with MORDI Tonga across the communities from WASH facilities, evacuation centers, resettlement plans and ports. .
During this difficult time, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire us all. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible person he was and the profound impact he had on so many lives.
